PAVIGRÉS

DESCRIPTION

Producing ceramics since 1978.
Pavigrés Cerâmicas SA is today the merger of Pavigrés, Grespor and Cerev, founded in 1978, 1988 and 1991 respectively. This merger took place in 2004.

We continue to be a totally private company, which provides work for 600 employees, led today by a second generation that seeks to adapt the company to the realities of the 21st century, to the market we face, with its economic difficulties on the one hand and technological, environmental and regulatory challenges on the other.

The company’s policies and decisions always have two very decisive axes in mind: our culture that identifies us, resulting from the principles that have always guided the company and from the experiences we have had since 1978, and, on the other hand, the fact that we are a company that has always worked for a very comprehensive export market. Exporting, which today represents an average of 94% of our activity, spread over some 85 different markets, obliges Pavigrés to always be attentive to broadening its ranges, according to the needs and requests of its customers. Within this range, we are also divided between the project market, where our technical range is particularly important, and within this, the Pavigrés 21 concept and the distribution market, where the residential and decorated porcelain ranges are very important.

We continue to produce the glazed Pavigrés porcelain tile, which gave rise to us, and the quick-setting, white Cerev paste coating, but where the biggest investments have taken place and where our greatest production capacity currently lies is in the technical and decorated Grespor porcelain. In technical porcelain we continue with the basic ranges Grespor, granite, coarse grain, unicolor – these in formats ranging from small 10x10cm to 120x60cm and 90x90cm. In decorated technical porcelain, we now cover most techniques, from double loading and all the mass, to decorations with digital technology, also these up to the largest formats – 90x90cm and 120x60cm.

The investments in production will increase our porcelain production capacity by 1,000,000 m2/year until January 2015. By then, the production capacity installed in the company will be around 8,000,000 m2 /year.

Also in terms of finishing, our ongoing investments will lead us, until the end of May 2014, to the doubling of our rectification, polishing, lapping, honing, etc. capacities.

Dynamics, Vision, Work, Service and Quality, we want them to remain the mottos of Pavigrés Cerâmicas, SA.
